Responsibilities

  • Assist in food preparation and cooking, following established recipes and safety guidelines
  • Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, sanitation, and cleanliness throughout the kitchen
  • Support meal assembly and plating to ensure timely service
  • Maintain accurate food handling procedures in compliance with health regulations
  • Contribute to menu planning by suggesting new ideas and assisting with ingredient sourcing
  • Support catering events and special meal services as needed
  • Serve food efficiently while providing friendly and professional customer service

Experience

  • Prior experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated learners
  • Hands-on kitchen experience in restaurants or food service environments is highly valued
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques is essential
  • Familiarity with culinary skills such as knife handling, meal preparation, and cooking techniques is advantageous
  • Experience in food industry roles involving menu planning, food presentation, or catering enhances your fit for this position
  • Strong understanding of sanitation practices and adherence to health regulations is necessary
  • Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment are important
