The Visual Communications Specialist/Inside Sales position is responsible for inside sales activities, customer service and front office management.
This position could be a path to the highly coveted Outside Sales position. Candidates who have the drive will be able to work with and learn from the ‘Top Performing Outside Sales Executive’ in all of FASTSIGNS, worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for walk-in clients, phone calls, and online inquiries (20 interactions per day)
- Provide prompt, transparent, and friendly communication via phone, email, and in-person
- Build and maintain relationships with prospects and existing customers
- Consultatively sell and make recommendations to prospects and clients using various products and Brand Standards.
- Identify sales prospects and contact these using a “drill down” and “share of wallet” concept.
- Develop and maintain a database of qualified leads through referrals, telephone canvassing, direct mail and email.
- Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from telephone, marketing and email activity.
- Develop a complete understanding of pricing and proposal models.
- Complete all paperwork and follow established center procedures from initiation through completion of a project (i.e., Work Order, credit approvals, POS entry, pre-payment collection, artwork approval, delinquent account collection, reporting).
- Prepare estimates and establish/maintain estimate follow-up procedures.
- Communicate with customers on order status and changes in the production schedule.
- Participate in and practice the brand mentality of “Everybody Sells”. Constantly be looking for sales opportunities for the center.
- Understand the sales process enough to consult with customers to determine project needs and solutions. Share customer feedback and insights to improve offerings.
- Maintain an organized front office, manage supply inventory, and support billing/documentation.
- Assist in invoicing and collection of account receivables.
- Coordinate shipping schedules and delivery of merchandise and services.
- Upbeat and solution-focused, even under pressure
- Ability to pick up signage/print terminology and layout concepts quickly
- Take initiative and meet deadlines without micromanagement
- Enjoy supporting a team and jumping in where needed
- Proactively manages responsibilities and timelines.
- Ability to deliver results with minimal supervision.
- Detail oriented and quality driven.
- Partners with colleagues to achieve shared objectives. Supports and contributes to group success.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years in a customer-facing sales role (experience in signage, print, or construction preferred)
- Comfortable managing a high volume of calls and walk-ins with professionalism and efficiency
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including basic Excel formulas
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to stand for extended periods and perform occasional physical tasks (lifting up to 25 lbs)
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- Base: $17 - $20 per hour
