JANUS Research Group is currently seeking a SHORAD Senior Analyst for a contract to support the Deputy Chief of Staff (DCS, G8. The DCS G-8 is the principal military advisor to the Chief of Staff, Army (CSA) and the Assistant Secretary of the Army, Financial Management and Comptroller (ASA(FMC)) for the Programming phase of the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process. The DCS, G-8 coordinates with the Assistant Secretary of the Army, Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology (ASA(ALT)) on all proposed programming and process recommendations related to ongoing and future acquisition programs and science and technology initiatives. The DCS, G-8 coordinates with Army Futures Command (AFC) for program funding for all elements of the future force materiel modernization enterprise.
Position Description: Manages Short Range Air Defense (SHORAD) programs, including Avenger, Sentinel, and Stinger systems. Provides analytical and technical support for capability development, modernization planning, and SPAR/POM integration. Develops information papers, briefings, and program assessments addressing cost, readiness, and capability gaps. Coordinates with ASA(ALT), T2COM, and ARSTAF to align SHORAD modernization with Army Integrated Air and Missile Defense priorities.

Relevant Competencies / Skill Levels
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and/or Business
- A minimum of four (4) years of experience and expertise in Force Development duties
- Demonstrates expert analytical and technical skills in short-range air defense (SHORAD) systems, sensors, and intercept/engagement architectures; proficient in evaluating capability performance, sensor-to-shooter integration, sustainment, and industrial-base resiliency; skilled at modeling effectiveness, lifecycle cost analysis, and producing clear, data-driven briefs and recommendations to support SHORAD modernization and fielding decisions.
