Principal Enterprise Architect
Network and Compute Infrastructure for PM IEN O-6 level TMD
Location: Fort Belvoir, VA
Clearance: DoD Secret minimum
Salary: 140K-190K Annual; Commensurate with Education/Experience
Enterprise Architect aligns with senior or principal-level architecture and systems engineering categories, because the role requires broad organizational impact, independent judgment, and deep technical expertise.
Enterprise Architects are placed in senior categories because of functions:
Network Infrastructure: Design high-available WAN/LAN/WLAN architectures, Software-Defined Networking (SDN), and hybrid cloud connectivity
Compute Infrastructure: Architecting server environments (physical and virtual), container orchestration (Kubernetes/OpenShift/KVM), and storage area networks (SAN).
Interoperability: Ensuring that computing resources (Processing/RAM) and network resources (Bandwidth/Latency) are balanced to meet application performance requirements.
Governance & Security: Setting the standards for Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) and ensuring compliance with NIST and ISO frameworks.

- Oversee complex, multi-system environments
- Advise executives on technology investment decisions
- Directs the integration of network and compute: aligns tech with operation strategy.

Experience
- Required 10 to 15 years extensive experience in enterprise-level IT strategy and architecture.
- Ability to operate with wide latitude and lead complex, multi-domain solutions.
- Architecting with “full-Stack Infrastructure” a virtualized compute cluster
- Advanced education (BA/BS minimum; often MA/MS or equivalent experience).
- Possess several of the following: Networking - Cisco Certified design Expert (CCDE or CCIE), Compute/Cloud – AWS Certified Solution Architect or Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Security – Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP )
