Core Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Architecture Design: Architect, deploy, and maintain robust, scalable hybrid and multi-cloud infrastructure, including AWS and Azure.
- Data Strategy & Management: Design and administer data infrastructure to support large Defense Business Systems, data analytics, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) initiatives.
- Software & Systems Integration: Develop software-defined network solutions, and define and integrate new capabilities into legacy architecture.
- Security & Governance: Ensure all solutions comply with DoD STIGs, Zero Trust principles, FedRAMP High, and NIST 800-53 controls.
- Data Pipeline & Quality Control: Implement data pipelines (ETL/ELT) and maintain data validation, logging, and error-handling mechanisms.
- Automation: Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions (e.g., Terraform, Bicep) and automate DevOps processes.
- Security Clearance: Active Secret or Top Secret/SCI clearance is generally required.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Experience: 10 years of related experience in system architectural principles.
- Certifications: Active Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent; DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification.
- Technical Skills: Deep understanding of cloud-based data services, data modeling, containerization, and enterprise IT systems (wired/wireless networks).
