JANUS Research Group is currently seeking a COMSEC SSO for a contract to support the Deputy Chief of Staff (DCS, G8. The DCS G-8 is the principal military advisor to the Chief of Staff, Army (CSA) and the Assistant Secretary of the Army, Financial Management and Comptroller (ASA(FMC)) for the Programming phase of the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process. The DCS, G-8 coordinates with the Assistant Secretary of the Army, Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology (ASA(ALT)) on all proposed programming and process recommendations related to ongoing and future acquisition programs and science and technology initiatives. The DCS, G-8 coordinates with Army Futures Command (AFC) for program funding for all elements of the future force materiel modernization enterprise.
Position Description: Supports Army Communications Security (COMSEC) programs within the Mission Command portfolio. Provides analysis and recommendations on cryptographic modernization, key management, and secure communications integration. Develops information papers, briefings, and SPAR/POM inputs addressing system lifecycle, sustainment, and risk. Coordinates with ASA(ALT), NETCOM, CIO/G-6, and ARSTAF to ensure compliance with Army and DoD COMSEC policies.
Relevant Competencies / Skill Levels:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and/or Business
- A minimum of four (4) years of experience and expertise in Force Development duties
- Demonstrates expert analytical and technical skills in Communications Security (COMSEC) systems, cryptographic modernization, and key management processes. Proficient in assessing compliance, lifecycle sustainment, and performance of secure communication solutions. Possesses advanced analytical and communication abilities to deliver accurate, data-driven products supporting Army information assurance and network protection efforts
