Heavy Machinery Technician- Agriculture

Janson Equipment Co. is seeking a Heavy Agricultural Equipment Technician at our Reese, MI location.

You’ll be a great fit for our Heavy Machinery Technician position if:

• You have experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered equipment
• You come equipped with your own tools and toolbox to perform the job effectively
• You have a valid driver’s license with a driving record that qualifies under company insurance guidelines
• You are proficient with computers and can learn new software and systems
• You have strong communication skills and work effectively with customers and team members
• You can prioritize work efficiently while maintaining quality and safety standards

What we expect from you on a day-to-day basis:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair agricultural equipment in a timely and efficient manner
• Accurately document labor hours, repair details, parts usage, and service information within computer-based service software systems
• Communicate regularly with the Service Manager regarding job progress, repair status, and completion timelines
• Perform preseason and postseason equipment inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure equipment readiness
• Properly operate, maintain, and care for company- provided tools, equipment, and specialty service tools
• Travel to customer locations as needed to perform onsite equipment repairs and service
• Successfully complete required vendor training programs, including virtual and in-person training, to maintain technical knowledge and skills
