Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Network Security Engineer to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Web Proxy and Firewall technologies. This role will support a critical divestiture initiative, ensuring secure separation of network environments while maintaining business continuity and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as SME for Web Proxy (Zscaler, Forcepoint, Blue Coat) and Firewall (Palo Alto, Check Point, Cisco ASA/FTD) platforms
- Design, implement, and maintain firewall rules and proxy policies
- Perform network security configurations, updates, and optimization
- Troubleshoot network security incidents and connectivity issues
- Analyze network traffic and logs for anomalies and threats
- Support network segmentation and ACL migration during divestiture
- Collaborate with network, application, and security teams
- Maintain documentation of configurations and processes
- Assist in security audits and compliance efforts
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 4–6 years of experience in Network Security Engineering
- Hands-on experience with:
- Firewalls: Palo Alto, Cisco ASA/FTD, Check Point
- Web Proxy: Zscaler, Forcepoint/Websense, Blue Coat
- Strong knowledge of:
- TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, VPN, NAT
- IDS/IPS, load balancing, network security concepts
- Experience in troubleshooting and log analysis
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in enterprise environments (banking/finance preferred)
- Scripting knowledge (Python or PowerShell)
- Certifications (preferred but not mandatory):
- CCNA Security
- PCNSE (Palo Alto)
- CCSA/CCSE (Check Point)
- Zscaler certifications
