Construction Yard Support & Parts Runner

We’re looking for a dependable Yard Support and Parts Runner to keep our construction operations running smoothly by organizing the equipment yard, managing inventory, and moving critical parts to jobsites — work that blends physical labor, sharp organization, and safe driving. Key Responsibilities

Yard & Inventory Support

• Organize materials: Organize and maintain yard inventory, ensuring materials and equipment are stored in designated areas.
• Load vehicles: Assist crew members with loading materials for daily jobs.
• Receive deliveries: Unload incoming freight shipments, verify counts, and match deliveries against purchase orders.
• Maintain cleanliness: Perform regular yard cleanup and upkeep to maintain a safe, orderly worksite.
• Track inventory: Count stock levels and report shortages to the manager.
• Inspect equipment: Check returned tools for damage or maintenance needs.

• Safety compliance: Follow all jobsite and yard safety protocols, including proper PPE use

Parts Runner & Logistics

• Pick up orders: Collect parts from local vendors and supply houses.
• Deliver to sites: Transport materials safely to active construction jobsites.
• Verify orders: Ensure delivered items match the purchase orders exactly.
• Maintain vehicles & equipment: Perform minor vehicle & equipment checks (i.e. fuel, fluids, tire condition) and flag maintenance needs.
• Log mileage: Keep accurate records of daily trips and fuel receipts.

Qualifications & Skills

• Driving record: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving history.
• Physical stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Local knowledge: Familiarity with the local geographic area and traffic patterns.
• Communication: Clear verbal skills to coordinate with vendors and field crews.
• Tool knowledge: Basic familiarity construction tools, materials, and equipment (industry experience a plus).

• Strong sense of urgency and reliability: Crews depend on timely deliveries to keep working

• Equipment operation: Forklift certification is a plus but not required.

Working Conditions

• Environment: Regular exposure to outdoor conditions, varying weather, dust, and loud noises and heavy equipment.
