Live-In Superintendent – Garden Co-op Complex (56 Units)
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Superintendent for a 56-unit garden apartment co-op community. This is a non-residential position that includes a weekly paycheck and benefits.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of prior experience as a superintendent and/or porter
- Previous co-op building experience is strongly preferred
- Ability to be available for emergencies and to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and during snow events as needed
- Successful completion of reference checks and background checks
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Routine repairs and general maintenance of the building and common areas
- Cleaning and upkeep of hallways, laundry rooms, and exterior/common spaces
- Responding promptly to resident service requests and building issues
- Coordinating with management, vendors, and contractors
- Monitoring and maintaining building systems
- Snow removal, salting, and other seasonal/groundskeeping tasks, sometimes outside regular hours
The ideal candidate is proactive, professional, and capable of managing the property’s day-to-day needs independently while maintaining a helpful, resident-focused presence on-site.
