Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies
- Maintain cleanliness of windows, walls, ceilings, and fixtures to uphold high standards of hygiene and appearance
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to preserve surface quality
- Handle industrial cleaning tasks including trash removal, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting large areas efficiently
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting issues requiring specialized attention
- Support custodial operations by organizing cleaning supplies and ensuring equipment is well-maintained and ready for use
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning procedures
- Familiarity with floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing surfaces
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers and extractors safely and effectively
- Strong attention to detail with excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive cleaning motions throughout shifts
- Knowledge of safety standards related to cleaning chemicals and equipment use
- Prior experience in facilities maintenance or porter roles is a plus; residential painting or industrial cleaning experience is beneficial
