Janitorial Worker

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in designated areas.
• Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Handle waste disposal and recycling according to established procedures.
• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and polishing to ensure surfaces are well-maintained.
• Assist with minor maintenance tasks as needed, including light repairs and custodial support.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.
• Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and stored properly.

Skills

• Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques and products for various surfaces.
• Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices and industrial cleaning standards.
• Experience in floor care techniques including buffing and maintenance of different flooring types.
• Ability to perform basic maintenance tasks related to facilities upkeep.
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality work.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
