A Pharmacy Technician is responsible for assisting technicians and licensed pharmacists in operating a pharmacy. General duties include greeting and assisting customers in person and over the phone, entering and filling prescriptions, and cleaning and maintaining the pharmacy department.

Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service
- Learn to independently input patient data and medication orders
- Count, label, and package prescription drugs and supplies
- Submit prescriptions for third-party billing and learn how to trouble-shoot
- Assist in ordering, stocking, and maintaining inventory of prescription medications, over-the-counter items, and necessary supplies
- Perform general cleaning and store maintenance: filing paperwork, stocking items, keeping the store clean and professional-looking
- Work with the pharmacy team to learn and understand patient care services
- Provide excellent customer service: greet and assist customers in person and via phone, build relationships with regular customers
- Gain knowledge of commonly prescribed drugs, brand/generic equivalents, and therapeutic classes
- Gain knowledge about billing third parties and resolving third-party issues
- Learn about over-the-counter and front-end departments; basic register functions

Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- 1 year of pharmacy experience or training as a technician (preferred)
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for duration of shift
- Ability to lift and carry up to twenty pounds
Licenses & Certifications
Preferred- Technician License
