Staff at the Janesville Country Club are required to maintain a friendly and professional relationship with members, guests and staff members. Needs to have knowledge of wine, beverages and wine/drink/food menu. Create specials approved by manager and craft cocktails. Must be able to recommend beverages upon request. Take dinner orders and enter into point of sale system.
Responsibilities:
· Process checks and payments to members or guests
· Checking identification to ensure legal drinking age
· Take drink orders, make drinks
· Take dinner orders and serve members and guests
· Assist other wait staff as needed
· Knowledge of wine and wine service
· Knowledge of cocktails and other beverages
· Taking out garbage and recycling
· Restocking bar, using older product first
· Help with inventory as requested
· Appropriate glass pours
· Washing glassware and polishing
· Folding napkins and rolling silverware
· Answer questions about menu items and recommend menu items as needed
· Keep positive attitude
· Cleanliness of uniform to meet dress code
· Report any complaints or compliments to manager on duty
· Maintain appropriate time frames for delivery of food and beverages
· Answering phones, taking to go orders and reservations as needed
· Keeping bar area clean and clutter free
Job Duties:
- Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, preparing them efficiently, and building a rapport with clientele
- Handle card and cash transactions
- Other duties as requested
