Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for collections on all current and past due balances of assigned portfolio of accounts by engaging with customers via phone and email while meeting departmental monthly collections goals, PMS (duty collections).
- Maintain and update customer information, including contact names, emails, phone numbers, etc. in an organized manner
- Make collection calls to customers along with follow up emails for past due balances in a professional manner
- Work to protect and maintain positive customer relationships and build internal relationships with stations to assist in collection efforts.
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies, perform account reconciliations, and resolve customer inquiries and disputes.
- Evaluate credit worthiness of new customers to determine credit limits, set payment terms and finalize set up of account in ERP system.
- Assist AR Manager with periodic credit review of existing customers
- Cross-train in cash application to provide backup coverage to the Cash Application Specialist
- 5 years of Credit and Collections experience, required
- Strong MS Office skills – Word, Excel (proficiency in pivot tables and VLOOKUP), etc.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Experience with Dun & Bradstreet as well as other reporting agencies
