What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sous Chef position at Jane’s French Cuisine?
We are seeking an experienced professional assistant chef. Applicants must have experience working in an upscale dining environment, a very strong work ethic, good attention to details, a a good attitude. In order to apply, you must have your own chef knives.
This job is not for beginners. We cook everything from scratch, using high grade ingredients and we change our menu seasonally. It is a harder job than most any restaurant in town, but you learn things and you make better pay than other restaurants.
You need to know how to filet fish, make stocks and simple sauces, cut things in a very consistent manner, and be able to multi task.
