Day Porter WarehouseGENERAL PURPOSE SUMMARYAbility to support our mission of maintaining a high level of cleanliness and orderliness in offices, hospitals, and other designated buildings. Maintenance, upkeep of common areas; responding to emergencies inside and outside of building. The Porter will also assist the rest of the staff, as directed and or when needed, in their efforts to manage the different daily unique challenges in an efficient manner. Respond to property management needs in a timely manner with professionalism upholding Janco’s reputation.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Must communicate effectively and cooperate consistently with tenants, visitors, and operations personnelArrive to the building on time and ready to perform required dutiesProvide friendly and courteous assistance to tenants and visitorsAdhere to all proper safety guidelines (example: use appropriate signage when using products that create wet or slippery conditions)Maintain possession of keys/access cards provided for building access; report if these items are known to be missingWatch for and report any suspicious activity observed in the building or on the property premisesCooperate with building security services as neededMaintain clean/organized stocked janitorial closets at all timesExample of duties on an as needed basis:Collect/empty trash and recyclable receptaclesDusting, vacuum, sweep, mop floors, sinks etc.Cleaning high touch points such as glass and doorsNotify manager of deficiencies or needs for repairsStock and maintain supply roomsCooperate and communicate with the rest of the teamWork within time constraintsFollow all health and safety regulationsAlways wear proper personal protective gearOther duties as assignedAbout Janco:Founded in 1989, Janco Commercial Cleaning is a leading provider of janitorial and facility support services across Alaska.
