We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Evening Cleaner to join our dynamic facilities team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment during evening hours. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a professional setting while honing your cleaning and custodial skills. Job is Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday evenings.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces
- Use commercial cleaning equipment and supplies to sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize surfaces effectively
- Conduct floor care procedures such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to maintain a pristine appearance
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste responsibly in compliance with safety standards
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and toilet paper to ensure availability for staff and visitors
- Identify maintenance issues or hazards and report them promptly to the facilities team for resolution
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently to create a secure environment for all occupants
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is highly preferred
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment operation, and safety procedures
- Experience in facilities maintenance or porter roles is advantageous
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure thorough cleaning routines
