Hourly position, 40-hour work week requirement
Position Overview: The IT Junior Administrator position is responsible for supporting daily operations, maintenance, and monitoring of organization’s IT systems. This role provides hands-on technical assistance to team members, helps maintain numerous systems, and supports the senior IT team.
Essential Job Functions (including but not limited to):
- Assist users with basic technical support in person, by phone, or electronically
- Help troubleshoot common hardware and software issues
- Use available resources to research simple technical questions
- Follow standard help desk procedures and guidelines
- Proper documentations of support interactions and resolutions for review
- Set up and maintain user accounts as assigned
- Typing minimum of 40 word per minute
- Must learn and train HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Must maintain full time hours of 40 per week M-F with some opportunity for overtime
- Support staff with password resets and access-related issues
- Help maintain inventory of IT equipment
- Ability to remain calm under pressure or when assisting frustrated users
- Escalate advanced or urgent issues to senior IT team
Job Requirements:
- Pass typing test with 40 wpm
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- IT – related experience, certifications, or training is preferred
- Basic understanding of computer operations (Windows, basic networking, common applications)
- Experience with ticketing systems is a plus, but not mandatory
- Willingness to learn new tools, systems, and IT procedures
