Reports To: General Manager / Front of House Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Team Leadership: Supervise and support front-of-house and/or back-of-house staff during shifts, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
- Shift Management: Oversee daily shift activities, including managing staff schedules, delegating tasks, and ensuring that all areas are adequately staffed.
- Customer Service: Ensure that guests receive excellent service by monitoring staff performance, addressing any guest concerns, and resolving issues promptly.
- Quality Control: Monitor food and beverage quality, presentation, and timing to ensure that standards are met consistently.
- Safety and Sanitation: Enforce all health, safety, and sanitation standards, ensuring that all employees comply with company policies and local regulations.
- Company Policies: Ensure that all staff adhere to company guidelines and policies as outlined in the employee handbook, including health standards, conduct, and safety procedures.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including cash handling, securing the premises, and preparing reports.
- Be observant of any safety concerns in the work area and take corrective action.
- Maintain superior attendance, punctuality and ensure the same for your team.
- Wear a professional uniform and enforce dress code standards among staff.
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays are preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift up to 50lbs, and perform tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Work Environment: Restaurant environment with moderate to high noise levels and varying temperatures.
- Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience: Previous experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry is required. Knowledge of restaurant operations, food safety, and customer service is essential.
