What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Psychotherapist position at Jamron Counseling?
Jamron Counseling is a dynamic and expanding private practice serving the New York City area. Our goal is to offer quality therapy at low cost to all those in need. We are seeking to hire licensed mental health counselors for part time fee for service psychotherapy positions. Caseloads would range between 21-27 clients per week. We ask that only candidates with a mental health counseling license (or limited permit) apply.
Tasks will include conducting intakes and individual therapy sessions, progress note documentation, treatment plan creation and upkeep, general spreadsheet maintenance, scheduling, and communication with colleagues and supervisors. There will be opportunities for group and couples work as well. For the right candidate, growth within the company is possible, including to part time supervisor and full time positions.
One hour of weekly supervision by an experienced licensed mental health counselor or psychologist will be provided.
Unfortunately we are unable to accept social worker applications at this time.
Different shifts are available, though evening shifts are preferred. Weekend work is available to those interested. Position may be entirely remote or hybrid in our Brooklyn office.
