What are the responsibilities and job description for the Founding Engineer - GTM position at Jampack AI?
About Jampack
Jampack is an AI-native platform that automates the entire wholesale order-to-cash lifecycle for CPG brands. We process over $500M in annualized wholesale volume for high-growth CPG brands like Fishwife, Immi, Ghia, and Sanzo — handling everything from purchase order ingestion to freight coordination to invoicing and payment reconciliation.
Wholesale is 7x the size of e-commerce, yet the infrastructure is stuck in the 1990s. We're building the agentic operating system that replaces spreadsheets, email chains, and manual data entry with autonomous workflows that just work.
We recently raised a $3.2M seed round led by Maveron. We're a small, high-agency team and we're looking for founding engineers who want to build what doesn't exist yet.
The Role
We're hiring a founding GTM engineer to architect and build the internal systems that power our outbound strategy. This role sits at the intersection of engineering and revenue: you'll build automated pipelines that identify, enrich, score, and engage high-value CPG prospects — so our sales efforts scale through systems, not headcount.
Think of it as building the infrastructure layer for how Jampack finds and reaches its next 100 customers. If you've ever used Clay, Instantly, Apollo, or similar tools and thought "I could build something better and more tailored," this role is for you.
What You'll Do
- Build the data foundation — Design automated pipelines for lead enrichment, CRM hygiene, and account research. Maintain clean, deduplicated records that the whole team can trust.
- Architect outbound systems — Build programmatic prospecting workflows that identify high-fit CPG brands, enrich them with relevant signals, and route them into personalized outbound sequences.
- Automate sales enablement — Create tools that reduce manual seller work: auto-generating prospect research, scoring inbound leads, drafting personalized outreach, and syncing engagement data back to our CRM.
- Experiment and iterate — Rapidly test new channels, messaging strategies, and targeting criteria. Measure what works, kill what doesn't, and compound what scales.
- Own the GTM tech stack — Evaluate, integrate, and orchestrate tools across enrichment, sequencing, CRM, and analytics. Build custom connectors and automations where off-the-shelf tools fall short.
What We're Looking For
- 2 years in a GTM engineering, growth engineering, revenue operations, or sales engineering role — ideally at a B2B startup.
- Hands-on experience with tools like Clay, Apollo, Zapier, or similar GTM/automation platforms.
- Technical fluency — you're comfortable with SQL, Python, APIs, and no-code/low-code orchestration. You don't need to be a full-stack engineer, but you can build what you need.
- Commercial mindset — you think in terms of pipeline, conversion rates, and deal impact, not just system uptime.
- Deep curiosity about the CPG/wholesale space. You'll become an expert on who our buyers are, what they care about, and how they make decisions.
- Scrappy and experimental — you'd rather ship an 80% solution today and iterate than spend weeks on a perfect spec.
