Job Description
JAMIS Global Inc. is hiring a Pickup & Delivery (P&D) Driver to run local delivery routes in the Erie, PA area. This is a hands-on driving and delivery position — no overnight travel, no CDL required. You'll be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering and picking up packages on an assigned route, providing great service to residential and business customers along the way.
We're looking for a reliable, safety-focused driver who takes pride in getting the job done right, shows up on time, and is seeking a physically active workday. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. JGI does not offer visa sponsorship for this position.
What You'll Do
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle (step van/cargo van) on an assigned local route
- Load, unload, and organize packages for efficient delivery
- Use a handheld scanner to track pickups and deliveries in real time
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Deliver packages to homes and businesses in a timely, professional manner
- Communicate with dispatch regarding route status and any delays
- Provide friendly, professional customer service at each stop
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly (occasionally more with assistance)
- Comfortable getting in and out of the vehicle frequently throughout the shift
- Prior delivery driving experience preferred (FedEx, UPS, Amazon, DHL, or similar) but not required — we'll train great candidates
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Must pass a background check, have a clean driving record , and pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US
Schedule
- Full-time and part-time positions available, weekend work may be available.
- Home daily — no overnight routes
Pay & Benefits
