Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse
- Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Assist with medical procedures, such as gastric lavage and airway management
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health record systems like Cerner and eClinicalWorks
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care
- Provide support to patients with special needs, including behavioral health and children with medical conditions
- Assist with sterile processing of medical equipment and supplies
- Coordinate durable medical equipment (DME) for patients
Requirements:
- Valid certification as a nursing assistant or completion of a nursing assistant training program
- Experience working with children and individuals with special needs is preferred
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Cerner and eClinicalWorks is a plus
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple responsibilities efficiently
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
