Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe is looking for a Regulatory Agent to become the newest member of our Tribal Gaming Agency (TGA) team! If you have a sharp eye for detail and a passion for upholding the law, this is your opportunity to play a vital role in our community’s success.
As a Regulatory Agent, you are responsible for enforcement of the Tribal Gaming Code, the federal Indian Gaming Regulatory Act, the Jamestown S'Klallam Tribe/Washington State Class III Gaming Compact, and other relevant laws and agreements affecting licensed gambling activities on the Jamestown S'Klallam Indian Reservation.
This is a full-time, onsite position located in Blyn, WA, featuring 10-hour shifts from 3:00 PM to 1:00 AM, Wednesday through Saturday.
Essential Functions
• Assist in all daily functions of the TGA including interfacing with 7 Cedars Casino departments and management, representatives of the State Tribal Gaming Commission, and the staff of the TGA
• Review the daily Security and Surveillance logs and report any significant items to the Executive Director
• Maintain confidentiality of all casino operation data
• Must possess outstanding interpersonal communication skills to effectively interface with guests and/or team members, both orally and in writing
• Provide exceptional customer service to internal/external customers, exhibiting high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to diffuse anger, collect accurate information, and resolve problems and concerns
• Investigate suspected criminal actions by patrons and/or employees and create accurate and truthful reports based upon this research
• Observe daily Casino operations
• Perform case investigations as necessary, which may include written reports to the appropriate departments and agencies
• Assist with special projects as assigned by the Regulatory Manager or Executive Director
• Adhere to all JST policies and procedures, including but not limited to standards for safety, and work practices as described in the Occupational Exposure Control Plan
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Two (2) years’ experience in gaming, law enforcement, public administration or related field or a combination of directly relevant experience preferred
• Exceptional interpersonal skills including effective verbal and written communication
• Effective time management, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrate initiative, work independently with little supervision
• Strong organization, prioritization and multiple tasking skills
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Suites
• Ability to travel locally and regionally as assigned
• Must be twenty-one (21) years of age
• Valid Driver’s License
• Must be able to successfully pass criminal background investigation
• Knowledge of Local, State, and Federal Laws and Regulations
Preferred Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent required, Associates Degree preferred
• American Indian/Alaska Native preferences apply
