Jamestown Healing Clinic (JHC) is seeking a dedicated Dispensing Nurse II - RN to serve on our Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) team. Schedule:
- Tuesday through Thursday: 10-hour shifts providing mobile healthcare services in rural Clallam County.
- Friday: 8-hour shift at the Jamestown Healing Clinic.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer Methadone or Buprenorphine/Naloxone (Suboxone/Subutex) under provider direction.
- Safeguard, document, and maintain inventory of all medications in compliance with DEA, FDA, and WA State Board of Pharmacy standards.
- Perform patient assessments, vital signs, wound care, and provide education and support related to medication.
- Conduct urine and breath alcohol testing, ensuring proper documentation and sample handling.
- Maintain accurate patient charts and update electronic health records (EHR) in real-time.
- Communicate effectively with providers regarding patient status and treatment needs.
- Support a trauma-informed care approach and uphold cultural sensitivity in all patient interactions.
Qualifications:
- Current, unrestricted RN license in the State of Washington.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Minimum three years’ experience in a clinic setting, preferably in primary care or substance use treatment.
- Proficiency in EMR systems, phlebotomy, and specimen collection.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a mobile healthcare environment and with diverse patient populations.
- Valid WA Driver’s License and ability to travel locally/regionally.
- Must meet all current vaccination requirements and successfully pass a criminal background check.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPR/First Aide Certification (if not currently a certification holder, will complete employer provided training upon hire)
- Experience and knowledge of Epic and/or Methasoft EMR
- Knowledge of Local, State, and Federal Laws and Regulations
- Knowledge of office administrative operations, including personnel management, and compliance
- Excellent organization skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Effective time management, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrate initiative, work independently with little supervision
- American Indian/Alaska Native preferences apply
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.23 - $45.80 per hour
Expected hours: 38 per week
