Full-time instructional faculty at JCC are responsible for teaching, driving course and program development, working directly with students in the teaching and evaluation of learning, engaging in the work of the college, and continuing to develop as professional educators. The current teaching load for full-time, tenure-line faculty is 30 or 32 credit hours per 9-month contract year, and positions may include the potential for additional teaching opportunities in the summer.

Job Description:

Full-time, term (non-tenure-line) nursing education instructor position with expected primary teaching responsibilities on the Jamestown Campus in the newly developed LPN program, beginning August 2025. Term of one academic year, subject to renewal. Responsibilities may include teaching a variety of first and second-semester courses in the LPN curriculum track. Additional responsibilities include the potential for cross-over teaching in the first and second year of the RN curriculum track. Courses may include conducting classroom-based lectures, overseeing clinical groups, and delivering both individual and group laboratory instruction. Additional responsibilities include engaging in program decision-making regarding curriculum, leading review sessions, and collaborating across disciplines to develop new learning opportunities in healthcare fields.

Qualifications:

Required: RN licensure, bachelor’s of science in nursing (or higher) with progress toward a master’s degree in nursing, and five or more years of clinical experience

Preferred: Master’s degree in nursing (or higher) and at least one year of post-secondary teaching experience. Demonstrated leadership.

Additional Information:

Position hiring is contingent upon final budgetary approval.

Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Please note that rank will vary depending upon experience and credentials:

  • If hired at the instructor level: $46,386 - $55,664/year (Salary represents a 9-month contract)
  • If hired at the assistant professor level: $51,025 - $61,230/year (Salary represents a 9-month contract)
  • If hired at the associate professor level: $56,128 - $67,353/year (Salary represents a 9-month contract)
  • If hired at the professor level: $61,740 - $74,088/year (Salary represents a 9-month contract)

Excellent benefits package, including medical and dental insurance, paid vacation and sick leave, and NYS retirement.

Salary : $46,386 - $55,664
