Full-Time | Exempt Position
Salary: $48,000 – $60,000 annually (Based on education and experience)
Commensurate with leadership experience and regulatory expertise

What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in Early Childhood Education or closely related field
- 3–5 years of early childhood experience
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience
- Demonstrated experience managing staff-to-child ratios in compliance with Alabama DHR standards
- Knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards and Alabama Quality STARS
- CPR/First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain)
- Ability to pass all required background clearances
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Staff Management
- Develop and manage staff schedules to ensure ratio compliance
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and retention
- Support staff evaluations and professional development planning
Compliance & Licensing
- Maintain ongoing compliance with Alabama DHR regulations, STARS
- Prepare documentation for inspections and monitoring reviews
- Conduct classroom observations and internal audits
Health, Safety & Risk Management
- Oversee implementation of health and sanitation protocols
- Monitor incident reports, medication logs, and emergency procedures
- Conduct safety inspections and drills
Program Quality & Operations
- Support curriculum implementation aligned with early learning standards
- Assist with enrollment management and operational oversight
- Serve as acting Director when needed
