- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, machinery, and equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance
- Conduct repairs using welding techniques, electrical troubleshooting, and mechanical knowledge to resolve issues promptly
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to accurately diagnose problems
- Operate tools such as ohmmeters and other testing devices to assess electrical circuits and components
- Manage facilities maintenance tasks including plumbing, painting (including residential painting), carpentry, and general repairs
Requirements
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces
