What your day will look like:
Under general supervision, you will perform a variety of activities including assisting in conducting training and learning activities with preschool children, performing a variety of routine clerical and supportive activities for instructional personnel, and performing other related work as required. This will include:
- As directed by the teacher, you will work with individual or small groups of preschool students.
- You will make effective use of instructional materials and demonstrate effective methods of instruction to ensure that the individual student performance levels, needs, and abilities are addressed.
- Assisting students off the bus in the mornings and onto the bus in the afternoons.
- Assisting with getting student snacks and feeding students.
- Exercising behavior management.
- You will go through the Crisis Prevention Intervention training that is provided.
- You will be collaborating with teachers and other para-professionals in the Preschool classroom.
- This position is 28.75 hours per week.
