The JMA HR Solutions team at James Moore & Co., P.L. is currently partnering with Performance Electrical Contracting to find a Commercial Electrical Project Manager who will play a critical role in managing commercial electrical projects from inception to completion. Your expertise in project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and team leadership will be essential to delivering projects on time, within budget, and at the highest quality and safety standards possible. Essential Functions
- Manage all phases of commercial electrical project development, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with clients, engineers, architects, subcontractors, and vendors to define and execute project scopes.
- Review electrical drawings, specifications, and ensuring compliance with codes and client requirements.
- Develop accurate cost estimates, managing the project budget, tracking expenses, and change orders.
- Oversee safety compliance and quality control by conducting inspections and championing safe practices.
- Serve clients and stakeholders as a main point of contact, providing regular updates, addressing concerns, and managing expectations.
- Lead the project team, ensuring effective communication, accountability, and cohesion.
- Support the organization’s business development efforts through ongoing client-relationship management.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in construction management, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent field/experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of electrical project management experience, with a substantial focus on commercial and/or multi-family residential construction.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects from inception to completion.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction processes, and safety protocols.
- Strong knowledge of mission critical infrastructure and electrical systems.
- Experience with supervising and managing teams.
- Comfortable in fast-paced, hands-on work environments.
- Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Procore, Fieldwire, ServiceTitan) is preferred.
- Project Management certification (PMP or equivalent) preferred.
- Multi-family experience preferred.
