Cafeteria Assistant
Position Requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of use of office equipment such as the copy machine and basic computer skills
- Able to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form
- Able to think critically and plan logically in a cafeteria environment
- Ability to honor and maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Ability to multitask, be flexible, and capable of handling a variety of on-going projects at the same time
- Takes initiative to complete tasks with limited supervision
- Ability to work collaboratively with others
- Professional demeanor and appearance
- Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and personal integrity. Personal issues will not interfere with professional responsibility.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and personal demeanor
- Ability to adapt to changing schedules and duties.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Willingness to learn new skills and advance in personal development
Special Requirements:
- Preferred practicing Catholic in good standing
- Prior food service experience is preferred but not required
- Must pass Safe Environment standards and be fingerprinted through IdentoGO
- Must hold a food handler’s certificate
- Required hours: 8am to 1pm Monday-Friday
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 pounds.
