Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Administrative Assistant/Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with check-in and check-out processes using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Obtain and record vital signs, medical histories, and current medications during patient intake.
- Prepare examination rooms, assist healthcare providers during procedures, and perform basic clinical tasks such as phlebotomy and medication administration.
- Manage medical records meticulously, ensuring accurate documentation of patient encounters, treatment plans, and ICD coding for billing purposes.
- Schedule appointments, follow-up visits, and coordinate referrals while maintaining an organized calendar system.
- Support hospital medicine or outpatient clinics by assisting with patient care activities in various settings such as emergency medicine or geriatrics.
- Maintain compliance with safety standards by performing basic life support (BLS), infection control procedures, and ensuring proper handling of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies.
Experience
- Prior experience working in a medical office environment with proficiency in EMR/EHR systems is a plus.
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and ICD coding is highly desirable.
- Previous roles involving medical documentation, medication administration, or hospital experience contribute to success in this role.
