Our client, DAVIS Construction, is seeking an experienced Sitework Manager to lead estimating, preconstruction strategy, and trade management for sitework scopes across commercial construction projects. This full-time role is ideal for a civil/sitework estimating or preconstruction professional who enjoys working upstream in the project lifecycle — shaping budgets, strategy, and execution plans before work begins.

As a Sitework Manager, you’ll take ownership of Division 2/sitework scopes — including utilities, grading, hardscape, paving, and site logistics — partnering with Operations, trade partners, and design teams to ensure projects are set up for success through strong planning, accurate estimating, and thoughtful strategy.

What You’ll Do
- Lead budgeting, bid development, and GMP assembly for sitework (Division 2) scopes
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and develop accurate pricing for sitework packages
- Write comprehensive scopes of work and bid packages for subcontractors
- Partner with preconstruction and operations teams to align design, cost, and execution strategy
- Participate in constructability reviews, identifying risks and opportunities early
- Drive value engineering strategies, alternates, and cost optimization initiatives
- Lead subcontractor outreach, prequalification, and bid leveling
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with sitework subcontractors and suppliers
- Support development of: project phasing strategies, sequencing, logistics plans
- Participate in project meetings and client presentations
- Maintain historical cost data and lessons learned across projects
- Mentor and support junior staff within preconstruction or estimating functions
- Contribute to pursuit efforts, including proposal development and strategy
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5 years of sitework estimating or preconstruction experience within a GC or civil/site contractor
- Strong knowledge of: grading, utilities, paving, hardscape, site logistics
- Experience developing budgets, bids, and GMPs for sitework scopes
- Proficiency in quantity takeoff software (Agtek preferred)
- Experience with Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, or similar tools
- Strong understanding of constructability, phasing, and site coordination strategies
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and partners
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present to clients and influence project teams
- Experience across commercial project types preferred

Salary Range
$105,000 – $135,000 base
