Purpose of this job:
The Order Management Planner is responsible for end-to-end order planning, inventory management, and supply coordination across Matador, Chaparral, and Viva distribution centers. This role ensures optimal product availability, accurate forecasting, and efficient order execution to support daily operations and long-term growth toward JECO’s 10 million case objective. This position plays a critical role in connecting Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain by driving data-informed decisions, improving inventory health, and ensuring seamless product flow across the network.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the full order lifecycle from forecasting through delivery.
- Create and maintain accurate order plans aligned with demand, promotions, and seasonality.
- Ensure timely and accurate placement of orders with suppliers.
- Monitor order status and proactively resolve supply or fulfillment issues.
- Coordinate with distribution centers to align inbound deliveries with operational capacity.
- Develop and maintain demand forecasts using historical data, trends, and business inputs.
- Partner with Sales to incorporate promotional plans, new launches, and market changes into forecasts.
- Continuously refine forecasting models to improve accuracy and reduce variance.
- Identify risks and opportunities in demand planning and communicate proactively.
- Oversee inventory levels across all locations to ensure optimal Days on Hand (DOH).
- Balance product availability with working capital efficiency.
- Monitor slow-moving, aging, or excess inventory and develop action plans.
- Ensure proper product allocation across warehouses to support service levels.
- Partner closely with Sales, Operations, and Warehouse teams to align on demand and execution.
- Coordinate intercompany transfers and product movements across locations.
- Support promotional execution by ensuring product availability and readiness.
- Communicate supply constraints, delays, or risks to key stakeholders.
- Track and report on key performance metrics, including:
- Forecast accuracy
- Inventory turns / DOH
- Service level / fill rate
- Out-of-stock and overstock trends
- Utilize data and systems to provide actionable insights to leadership.
- Build and maintain dashboards and reporting tools for visibility and decision-making.
- Process Improvement & Standardization
- Develop and standardize order management processes across all JECO distribution companies.
- Identify inefficiencies in ordering, forecasting, and inventory management and implement solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement in planning systems, tools, and workflows.
- Ensure alignment with Red Bull standards and best practices where applicable.
- Work with suppliers and partners to optimize ordering cadence and lead times.
- Support new product launches and transitions.
- Ensure accurate product setup and data integrity across systems.
- Oversee bulk orders for Matador distribution
- Oversee CHEP pallet program for Matador, Chaparral and Viva Distribution
- Assist with resolving invoice, shipment, and inventory discrepancies.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in order management, demand planning, or supply chain operations.
- Experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG), beverage distribution, or high-volume logistics preferred.
- Strong understanding of inventory management and forecasting principles.
Physical Requirements:
- Repeatedly lifting 10-25 pounds including overhead.
- Moving carts/dolly that weigh up to 75 pounds.
- Prolonged periods of sitting while working at a computer.
- Ability to stand and walk frequently.
- Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
- Work in both indoor and outdoor weather conditions.
- DOT medical card required.
