The Barry Robinson Center is a premier behavioral health system dedicated to improving the lives of children since 1933. We offer a non-profit residential treatment program from our campus in Norfolk, VA.
We are hiring a Marketing Assistant to join our team. This role provides support in the areas of Marketing, Public Relations, Customer Service, Business Development, and other specified areas. This role is a blend between our business development and communication team that is responsible for monitoring and improving the Customer Experience for referrals, residents, visitors, and family members alike.
Work Schedule & Location
This is a remote position with typical working hours from Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The role requires flexibility to support occasional events outside of traditional business hours, including evenings and weekends. While not routine, periodic after-hours responsibilities should be expected. Occasional onsite attendance will also be required.
Education & Experience Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Communication field. Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide support for the Marketing/Communications and Business Development department.
- Assist with planning, creating, and scheduling content for social media, email, and digital campaigns
- Support the development of marketing materials (flyers, graphics, presentations, ads, etc.)
- Coordinate logistics for events, outreach efforts, and promotional activities
- Help maintain and update website content and marketing databases
- Track campaign performance and compile basic reports and analytics
- Ensure brand guidelines are followed across all marketing materials, conferences, community events
- Assist with vendor coordination, print orders, and asset management
- Perform administrative tasks to support the BD/Comms team as needed
- Shipments to the BD team and conferences
Miscellaneous Administrative Duties:
- Responsible for assisting Customer Service team in lodging for parents, this consists of booking the designated hotel and/or travel. Maintain current knowledge of BRC lodging policies.
- Manage Business Development calendar, including conferences.
- Sign up to conferences and assure all conference details are tracked.
- Assist in organizing BRC trainings, lunch & learns and other related BRC hosted functions.
- Maintain a working knowledge of the BD CRM and related software.
