Summary
This position is responsible for supporting Jamco Product Support, Jamco Engineering/Technical Services and the Jamco customer base in response to technical inquiries regarding design, fit, form and functionality for all Jamco products. The Product Support Engineer will familiarize themselves sufficiently on all Jamco product, mechanical and electrical / payloads / systems and structures to support customer inquiries with technically sound solutions.to issues as presented to Product Support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following with other duties as assigned:
- Assigned Product Support tasks include but not limited to: provide detailed response (via email, telephone or in person) to inquiries with regard to mechanical and electrical design as it pertains to mechanical/electrical/structural/payloads/systems installations, detailed assemblies and mechanical/ electrical/structural/payloads/systems specifications post STC and/or TC.
- Works under the direction of the Senior Provisioning Engineer in determining priorities in response to customer inquiries.
- Participates in teams to gain understanding during the development and design of Jamco America product.
- Obtain, interpret, and analyze OEM airplane install drawings using approved processes and tools.
- Provides technical, design and informational support for customer post aircraft modifications (including on-site support), manufacturing support and/or in-service issues.
- Troubleshoots basic mechanical/electrical/structural/payloads/systems problems and provide solutions.
- Participates in the adjudication of warranty issues.
- Provides assistance in the development of training programs to support product entry into service.
- Actively support Product Support department goals and initiatives.
- Coordinate with other departments as necessary.
- Utilize internal drawing/document standards per customer or regulatory agency requirements.
- Provide trend analysis information to internal and external customers as required.
- Some domestic or international travel may be required.
- Provide guidance on engineering design (drawing) and documentation change when warranted through customer inquiries.
- Work with Senior Provisioning Engineer to create maintenance/repair procedures to be incorporated into the Maintenance Manual.
- Work with Senior Provisioning Engineer to improve existing maintenance/repair procedures of all Maintenance Manual/Documents.
- Participate with Senior Provisioning Engineer in the Shop Verification (preparation, verification, and provide maintenance/repair solution for non-conformity items).
- Work with Senior Provisioning Engineer to develop maintenance/spare matrix for existing product.
- Work with Senior Provisioning Engineer to develop Spare Plan (parts classification) of the existing products.
- Work with Senior Provisioning Engineer to update URR, MP, MOR, SPC, SC, RFS based on spare parts sales, airline maintenance data, and procurement data records.
- Work with Senior Provisioning Engineer to develop and maintain the Product Support System to support Customer Services, Technical Publications and Spares Sales.

REQUIREMENTS
Education and/or Experience:
BS degree in an appropriate technical engineering discipline or related engineering field and 5 years’ experience or equivalent working experience (3 years minimum in an aerospace related field).
Moderate travel within the U.S. and abroad may be required to support JAMCO America programs.
Language Skill
Ability to read and interpret documents such a stately rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers of employees of organization.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
