What are the responsibilities and job description for the Solar Power and Battery Sales position at Jamar Power Systems?
With the FTC expiring on 12.31.25, we are looking for an experienced solar and battery sales engineer/coordinator who can process Lightreach/Palmento solar lease projects. Your job will consist of contacting incoming leads, qualifying to see if they are credit worthy, presenting the lease benefits after the FTC expires, conducting a site visit using SiteCapture software, working with our team to produce an accurate lease quote, presenting the lease quote to the homeowner via a Teams meeting with a senior company manager, completing any follow up SiteCapture items, checking in with the homeowner during the installation to ensure a five star experience, standing for inspections if the installation team is complete, following up with the client to ensure a five star experience, generating new referral leads from your happy clients.
You are required to keep the CRM updated realtime, work with various quote tools, and interact with our solar manager, construction operations team and front office to ensure a smooth customer experience.
This is a full time salary sales position with an in office work station with a base salary of twice minimum wage. Expected sales to maintain the position is 20X base salary after three months. You are paid a monthly bonus of 1% of sales if you exceed the 20X base. Historically a good sales rep will sell at least $200K per month, resulting in at least a $2K per month bonus.
Working hours are at a minimum from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM M-F, this is not a remote job, you must report to the office by 7:00 AM to start your day.
Benefits include six holidays, 1 hour PTO per 30 hours worked after 60 days, full medical after 90 days, 401(k) after 12 months.
Qualifications:
5 years solar sales experience
NABCEP Solar Sales certification
Active CA Home Improvement Salesman License (HIS)
Able to pass Lightreach background check
Able to pass a preemployment drug test and physical
Clean driving record
