This position is responsible for delivering innovative solutions to both internal and external customers. Key responsibilities include supporting all aspects of tool and equipment management—such as check-in/check-out, maintenance, and repairs—with a strong emphasis on safety. The role also involves procurement as directed, handling shipping and receiving tasks, and general upkeep of buildings and grounds. Additionally, the position includes operating warehouse equipment and driving to customer sites to pick up or deliver tools, equipment, or products.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Tool & Equipment Fulfillment

  • Inspect incoming tools for damage or wear, assess repairability, and perform necessary repairs. Clean and return tools to inventory in ready-to-use condition.
  • Work with the department manager to identify and process tool replacements, including warranty returns for damaged items.
  • Accurately fulfill tool and equipment orders based on provided lists, ensuring completeness and timely delivery.
  • Deliver tools and equipment to job sites as needed, maintaining punctuality and professionalism.
  • Assist with fleet vehicle check-in and check-out procedures as directed by management.
  • Complete purchase orders and related documentation accurately, following department and company standards.

Buildings & Grounds Maintenance

  • Help maintain the safety and security of the building and surrounding grounds.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and perform seasonal tasks such as snow removal, trash and recycling management, and upkeep of walkways and entrances.
  • Handle internal office requests, including replacing light bulbs, stocking cleaning supplies, and coordinating with building service vendors to ensure supply availability.

Shipping & Receiving

  • Receive incoming freight, notify relevant departments, and store materials appropriately.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments using proper packaging techniques and best practices.

Company-Level Support

  • Provide delivery and driving support for tools, equipment, and products to internal teams and job sites.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental and company operations.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age and be able to pass the required DOT physical.
  • Willingness and ability to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and obtain certification.
  • Ability to regularly load and unload large tool crates containing multiple tool sets, heavy chains, and field equipment (training provided to identify tools by name, location, and use).
  • Strong customer service skills demonstrated through previous experience.
  • Proficient in computer use, including email and data entry.

Other Details:

  • This position will report regularly in person to Duluth, MN.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license in accordance with company’s driving policy.
  • Forklift certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire (training provided by Jamar).
  • Must possess or obtain a valid DOT health card within 30 days (provided by Jamar) and maintain it throughout employment.
  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is preferred.
  • All offers of employment are expressly contingent upon the satisfactory completion, in accordance with Company policy, of a pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • The expected hourly compensation range for this position is $17.50-$26.00. Compensation offered to the selected candidate will vary depending on relevant knowledge, skills, training, experience, and market conditions.
