Job description:
Jamaican Kitchen is looking for a reliable and flexible Server / Store Operator for our South Windsor location.
You will start each day by reporting to the South Windsor store at 8:00 AM, clocking in, and using the Jamaican Kitchen van to pick up food from our Enfield location. You will bring the food back to South Windsor, prepare the store for the day, and operate the location until 3:00 PM.
This role requires someone who is comfortable working independently, stays organized, and can manage daily store responsibilities without constant supervision.
Schedule:
- Monday–Saturday, 8:00 AM–3:00 PM
- Must be flexible and available for some evening shifts when needed
Responsibilities:
- Arrive at the South Windsor location and clock in at 8:00 AM
- Return food safely to the South Windsor location
- Open, prepare, and organize the store for daily operations
- Serve customers, take orders, handle cashier duties, and maintain cleanliness
- Operate the store independently until 3:00 PM
- Support evening shifts when needed
Requirements:
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working alone
- Strong customer-service and communication skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Flexible availability, including some evenings
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 17.0 – 18.0 per week
