What are the responsibilities and job description for the Distribution Warehouse Shipping/Receiving position at JAM Industrial Supply, LLC?
JAM Industrial Supply is a Drug Free Work Place. We offer paid sick time, holidays after 90 days. We also offer paid vacation time, 401k and Profit Sharing after one year. JAM requires pre-employment drug testing and random screens as required by the BWC. The Warehouse Order Picker position is a full time, day shift, Monday through Friday position with a salary range of $18-20.00 dollars per hr. depending on skills and knowledge. The successful candidate must:
- Demonstrate professional behavior, cooperative and respectful attitude toward all employees.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Demonstrate safe use of fork truck and pallet jack at all times.
- Receive in product and update inventory with attention to detail.
- Stock shelves to correct locations and rotate product on shelves as needed.
- Prepare orders for shipping as needed.
- Maintain the warehouse, including sweeping floors, taking out trash and recycle materials.
- Assist “Will Call” and walk in customers.
- Assist Warehouse Staff with other duties as assigned.
- Must wear appropriate non-offensive clothing and demonstrate appropriate personal hygiene.
- JAM Industrial Supply is a Non-smoking building and a Drug Free Work Place. There is also no smoking in any JAM vehicle.
Summary
As a Distribution Warehouse Receiving/Shipping person, you will be essential in ensuring efficient order fulfillment and inventory management within our warehouse. Reporting to the Inside Sales Manager and working with Purchansing, your core responsibilities will include accurately Receiving in product, stocking to correct locations and rotating product, maintaining inventory accuracy, and adhering to safety protocols. Your premium skills in time management and attention to detail will enhance productivity and minimize errors. Additionally, relevant skills such as familiarity with warehouse management systems and teamwork will contribute to a seamless operation.
