Jalsah Coffee is a new specialty coffee shop bringing the rich tradition of Yemeni coffee to Los Angeles. We’re rooted in quality, culture, and community—creating a space where people connect over exceptional coffee.
We’re looking for experienced baristas who are passionate about coffee, take pride in their craft, and can thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Prepare high-quality espresso and coffee drinks, including traditional Yemeni coffee, with consistency and care
- Operate and maintain coffee equipment (grinders, espresso machines, brewers)
- Provide warm, knowledgeable customer service, including answering menu questions
- Handle transactions accurately using POS systems
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow food safety protocols
- Support teammates and contribute to smooth daily operations
Requirements:
- Barista experience in a specialty or high-volume coffee shop
- Strong customer service skills and a genuine love for hospitality
- Comfort with multitasking in a busy setting
- Curiosity about global coffee traditions—interest in Yemeni coffee is a plus!
