Position: Litigation Paralegal
We are seeking a Litigation Paralegal to support a senior trial attorney and help move cases efficiently from filing through trial and dispersals. You’ll join a strong paralegal team managing 20–30 active Circuit Court cases and gain experience across Maryland, D.C., and federal courts. This role is ideal for someone independent, proactive, and confident in managing high expectations while keeping attorneys organized and on track.
Key Responsibilities
Case Documentation & Drafting
- Draft, review, and revise pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, and related filings
- Prepare and organize evidence, exhibits, and trial binders
- Assist with pre-trial materials, including witness lists, jury instructions, and proposed orders
Discovery & Evidence Management
- Oversee the discovery process, including issuing and responding to discovery, coordinating IMEs, working with experts, issuing subpoenas, and managing records requests
- Organize and summarize medical records and case evidence to support litigation strategy and trial readiness
Docketing & Court Preparation
- Track court deadlines, hearings, mediations, and trial dates with accuracy
- Coordinate depositions, witness preparation, and trial logistics
Client Support & Communication
- Prepare clients for depositions and trials
- Maintain consistent communication regarding case status
- Gather necessary documents to ensure clients are fully prepared and informed
Administrative & Operational Assistance
- Maintain well-organized digital and physical case files
- Assist with settlement documentation and post-trial dispersals
- Support office operations, including answering phones, scheduling, and general clerical tasks as needed

- Experience: Litigation paralegal background preferred; experience in Maryland, D.C., or federal courts (at least one required)
- Ownership: Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a high-volume docket independently
- Communication: Professional and clear with attorneys, clients, experts, and court personnel
- Personality: Team-oriented, steady under pressure, and able to “manage up” to keep attorneys moving
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with law firm software for calendaring, e-filing, and document management
- Growth Mindset: Fast learner, adaptable, and motivated to take on increasing responsibility

Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $45,000–$75,000 annually, depending on experience (exceptional candidates may be considered up to $90,000)
