Jake’s Inc. is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Large Turning Operator to operate CNC lathes for large-diameter turning. You’ll handle setup, precision machining, inspection, and machine maintenance, ensuring top-quality parts while observing all safety and quality guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Set up, program (as needed), and operate large-diameter CNC lathes.
- Read blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications.
- Choose and install tooling, fixtures, and materials appropriately.
- Use precision instruments—micrometers, calipers, gauges—to verify part accuracy.
- Monitor machining processes and make precise adjustments for quality and efficiency.
- Maintain production logs and quality documentation.
- Conduct routine cleaning, maintenance, and troubleshoot minor issues.
- Comply with safety standards and help maintain a safe, organized workplace.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; technical or vocational training preferred.
- Typically 5 years of CNC lathe experience, with large turning preferred.
- Fluent in blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation.
- Skilled with precision measuring tools.
- Experience with Fanuc, Siemens, or similar CNC controls is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a team-first attitude.
- Reliable and safety-conscious.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to stand for long periods.
- Lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Maintain manual dexterity and good visual acuity.
Shift & Schedule:
- Full-time, [1st / 2nd shifts
- Overtime available as needed.
Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
