Duties
Operate the cash register efficiently, ensuring accurate processing of sales transactions.
Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing concerns.
Assist customers with product selection and upselling items to enhance their shopping experience.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and store displays.
Handle returns and exchanges in accordance with store policies.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations and assist in supervising junior staff when necessary.
Utilize basic math skills for cash handling and ensuring accurate change is given.
Demonstrate effective phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries over the phone.
Requirements
Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environment is preferred but not mandatory.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on customer interaction.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
A friendly demeanor with a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
