Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, and measuring according to recipes and menu specifications
- Assist in cooking and assembling dishes, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to recipe standards
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, slicers, and other culinary tools
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen surfaces in compliance with food safety regulations
- Follow food handling procedures to ensure safety standards are met during all stages of meal preparation
- Support menu planning by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation techniques
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal production and meet service timelines
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dietary departments or food service environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production
- Culinary experience with strong knife skills and slicing techniques
- Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and slicers
- Experience in food preparation, meal assembly, or catering is a plus
