Job Overview
Jak’s Velvet Pour LLC is hiring dependable wedding bartenders for events throughout the Dallas Fort Worth area. This is a part time, event based position for bartenders who enjoy weddings, private events, and guest service.
Our bartenders represent the Velvet standard through professionalism, presentation, teamwork, and attention to detail. You will serve beer, wine, mixed drinks, and nonalcoholic beverages while following company policies and responsible alcohol service practices.
Responsibilities
Set up and organize the bar before service begins.
Prepare mixers, garnishes, ice, cups, napkins, and other bar supplies.
Serve beer, wine, signature cocktails, mixed drinks, and nonalcoholic beverages.
Check identification and follow responsible alcohol service procedures.
Keep the bar clean, stocked, and organized throughout the event.
Communicate professionally with couples, guests, venue staff, and the Jak’s Velvet Pour leadership team.
Follow event timelines, including arrival, last call, bar closing, cleanup, and departure.
Complete bar breakdown and leave the service area clean.
Protect client, venue, and company property.
Follow all Jak’s Velvet Pour service standards and policies.
Qualifications
Previous bartending, restaurant, catering, or event experience is preferred.
Current TABC certification is required before working an event.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Dependable transportation to event venues throughout the Dallas Fort Worth area.
Weekend and evening availability.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
Ability to work in indoor and outdoor event settings.
Professional appearance and positive attitude.
Must arrive on time and follow the required all black dress code.
Position Details
Pay starts at $15 per hour.
Part time and event based.
Most shifts take place on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Shift lengths vary based on setup, service time, and breakdown.
