Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Building Electrical Technician to support the operation and maintenance of commercial office buildings. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing building electrical systems and be comfortable working independently in an occupied commercial property environment.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair commercial building electrical systems
- Maintain and repair lighting systems, switches, receptacles, breakers, panels, and electrical equipment
- Diagnose electrical issues and perform corrective repairs
- Respond to tenant electrical service requests and work orders
- Assist with tenant improvement (TI) and renovation projects
- Coordinate with outside electrical contractors when necessary
- Perform preventive maintenance on building electrical systems
- Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with applicable codes
Qualifications
- 5 years of commercial electrical experience preferred
- Experience working in office buildings, high-rise buildings, or commercial properties
- Strong knowledge of electrical panels, breakers, lighting controls, and power distribution systems Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics
- Ability to work independently and troubleshoot problems efficiently
Preferred Qualifications
- California Electrician Certification Experience with commercial building operations Knowledge of HVAC electrical controls and building automation systems
Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
