Overview
As an Ecommerce Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing multiple facets of our ecommerce business, including customer relationships, promotions, product content, supply chain operations, pricing strategy, marketing, and merchandising. You will partner closely with key customers to drive growth. Self-motivation, good judgment, ability to influence, analytical talent, and exceptional communication are essential to succeed in this role.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Communication & Relationship Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, addressing inquiries and resolving issues efficiently.
- Build and maintain working relationships with day-to-day contacts at partner organizations.
- Gather feedback from partners and communicate insights to the team to help strengthen account relationships.
- Create actionable plans to enhance business relationships.
- Proactively identify account needs and opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction.
Promotion, Pricing, & Product Content
- Responsible for communication regarding promotions, pricing, and product content.
- Manage content, pricing, and promotional strategy for your account(s) while working across multiple teams to ensure quality, timeliness, and effectiveness.
- Monitor the execution of promotional campaigns and report on their effectiveness.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with marketing, merchandising, and logistics teams to ensure timely product updates.
Analysis & Strategy
- Analyze sales data, performance reports, and KPIs to assess account health and identify growth opportunities.
- Analyze reports and merchandising data to assess account performance.
- Identify trends, insights, and opportunities for growth.
- Conduct regular sales and activity analysis to determine the performance of the customer portfolio and identify areas for improvement to meet/exceed targets.
- Stay informed on competitor activity and market trends, sharing relevant observations with the team.
- Use insights to inform account strategies and product offerings.
Operational Management
- Oversee product listings on online marketplaces, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Troubleshoot issues related to product data and listings.
- Work closely with internal teams (e.g., marketing, logistics) to align strategies and drive account performance.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions.
- Demonstrate strong time management and decision-making skills with an ability to prioritize high-impact initiatives.
- Track partner compliance with operational guidelines and maintain up-to-date records of account activities.
Skills & Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
- 2 to 4 years in e-commerce account management or related field
- Experience with online marketplaces (e.g., Amazon, Wayfair) is preferred.
- Familiarity with managing relationships for a manufacturer or distributor.
- Familiarity with 1P and/or 3P marketplace selling models is a plus; 3P experience preferred.
- Strong analytical ability and experience manipulating data in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage with partners and internal teams.
- Organizational abilities to manage multiple accounts and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to seamlessly work across functional and organizational boundaries, and reputation for influencing others and earning trust across levels and organizations.
- Proven negotiating skills, influencing abilities, and relationship management experience.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Physical Requirements:
- Remaining in a seated position for long periods of time
- Standing is to remain on one’s feet in an upright position without moving about
