Overview

The Inventory Warehouse Associate plays a key role in ensuring the accurate handling, movement, and storage of inventory within the warehouse. This position is responsible for receiving, unloading, picking, packing, and restocking products—primarily rugs—using handheld scanners and material handling equipment. The associate collaborates closely with the shipping and receiving teams to maintain inventory accuracy, investigates discrepancies, and inspects items for damage or defects.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Operates handling equipment and ensures safety regulations are followed

• Collaborate with shipping/receiving departments to ensure inventory accuracy

• Pick and transfer items to other departments

• Ensures warehouse goals are met

• Receive, put away, pick, pack, cycle count and re-stock product

• Pick rugs utilizing a handheld scanner (rugs can weigh anywhere from 6lbs 140lbs; heavier rugs are picked with the help of an associate)

• Receive, unload and place incoming inventory items appropriately

• Put rugs away in the proper bins for inventory accuracy

• Organize stock and maintain inventory

• Inspect products for defects and damages

• Records damaged items and moves them accordingly

• Investigating inventory discrepancies

• Keep warehouse clean and organized daily

• Skills & Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent education

• Previous warehouse experience

• Coordination, organization, planning and time management

• Ability to lift 75 pounds.

• Ability to operate Order Picker forklift around warehouse, Ability to receive, put away, pick, pack, cycle count and re-stock product up to 25 feet height.

• Adaptability; flexible to shifting priorities and a changing environment

• Must be computer literate

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. The employee must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat and crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Ability to react quickly to sounds. Work in an environment with varying temperatures. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to take directional cues directly and indirectly.
